UCAS CARD
If you are in year 12 then you can sign up for this fantastic part of the UCAS website which offers a great deal to students. UCAS cards are available through the UCAS website and are a great way to get discounts on a variety of items both in high street stores and in places such as major restaurant chains. They provide a 10% discount which is always invaluable to students so you can get the latest fashions, sportswear, technology and great food for a much better price,
To apply just go onto the UCAS site and search for ‘UCAS card’ or go to the separate website: www.ucas.com/ucascard/ . You will need to know your college’s UCAS identity number so remember to ask someone before you try and sign up. Once you have it you can fill in all of your other details and your card will be sent through the post within a short time. It is definitely worth it as you can also sign up for e-mail alerts which can let you know about special offers or competitions that are going on, or even get a service to find out information about a subject you may be interested in applying for at university. On the site you can also access a forum to let you talk to likeminded students all over the country and share advice and tips which you may find useful in the future.
It is absolutely free to get a card, which will then be produced just for you, and it will give you range of different services and offers which you will find really useful. There are always new shops signing up to the scheme so make sure you sign up soon (before 31st August, or 30th September in Scotland) and be part of it today.
