NON SPECIFIC URETHRITIS  This STD only affects men. Symptoms are:

Needing to pee frequently

A clear or white discharge from the penis

Pain or a burning sensation when peeing due to inflammation of the urethra

This is not necessarily a sexually transmitted infection as it can be contracted by an allergy or too much alcohol (a reason to drink sensibly). However, this can be a result of the Chlamydia (this is bacterial too) or from friction during sex.

If you think you may have this it is easy to diagnose with a urine sample and swab from the urethra. The treatment is a course of antibiotics that should clear it up quickly.

This may re-occur after some time but it is unlikely, if so just go and get re-treated. The biggest problems arise when it is left as it can cause inflammation of the testicles or infertility.
